Alex, one of my dear CT-Members and good friends participated last year in a photo project called project 52. Each week of the year you have to take a picture with a certain subject. I really liked it and thought I might try to participate this year.
For this week you had to take a picture of your city or town. As soon as I saw the subject I knew what picture I would take. Actually I had two ideas. When I finally came to the place, the object I wanted to take a picture of was gone! It was an old weathered sign – This town were we live was a town of fruit orchards and just here around the corner is this fruit grower reserve, which had this beautiful sign… Also a shed with old mashines and tools used in those old days. But oh how rude, what did they do, so I couldn’t take a proper picture??? They put wire netting around it! Didn’t they know I wanted to take lovely photos of it?
And that after my first idea didn’t work out either – I thought of taking a picture of Melbourne when visiting the city this week – but instead I got sick and we had to cancel that appointment in the city.
Soooo, it has to be an older picture of Melbourne I have taken earlier. Next week when we go to the city, I will take a new one!
This is the Queensbridge in Melbourne with the famous Flinders Station in the background.
