P52 Week 7

Hey there! Shivers, I was sure I had posted our next prompt… uhm.. I am back at school this week and life has been a little challenging. Must have slipped my mind to post here. DS picked pur next prompt and I had to giggle, it was such a perfect match for this week: Flowers, I am also happy to accept anything to do with Valentine’s day. Now, it might be a bit challenging for some, either it is too cold for flowers, or they don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. But I want you to think outside the box – Maybe you have a room with flower wallpaper, or your (grand)daughter has a floral dress she loves, or  a flower she likes to put in her hair. Maybe your (grand) kids draw you a nice flower? There are many different aspects with this prompt. I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

I know I am a bit behind with my layouts, but I am not giving up, life just did get a bit in the way.

P52 week 6

February 6th, 2011 Nathalie Posted in Project 52 2011 4 Comments »

How are you all doing? We were all pretty busy last week, the kids returned back to school after their summer holiday break and their after school activities started, too. I planned to scrap my layout for the P52 yesterday, I had taken some pics of our favourite meal on Friday but… our garage was flooded after massive rain falls and thunderstorms (effects of cat 5 cyclone Yasi), so I have been busy cleaning and sorting stuff. We are lucky, we only had minimal damage but it was a long and tiring day and I feel even more for those people who suffered more or who even lost all their belongings. On that note: If you haven’t bought the charity kit Friendship to support the Flood Relief Appeal, please do so! You receive an awesome kit, jam packed with goodies and you help support a good cause.

OK, now let’s get to it!
My sweet DD picked our next prompt for week 6 and it is: Gadget. Are you someone who loves all those neat and nifty gadgets, big or small? Or is it the opposite, do you despite them? Or maybe you are gadget challenged? Or you belong to those who dream of a certain gadget? Lots of possibilities to take a nice photo and scrap about it.

Time for the prompt of week 5 of our P52: DS picked Favourite Meal!

When DS saw it he said straight away – ” I know what my favourite meal is!” I had to laugh, because I so knew what he was thinking of, it is his and his sisters favourite and also my husband likes it a lot. I guess that means we have Spaghetti Bolognese one dinner this week :D

I am very sorry for the delay but organising the charity kit takes so long, that everything else came to a stand still. My DS did pick the prompt out of the jar yesterday and for this week it is all about: Something I am dreading

Happy New Year everybody! We had a lovely night with friends and their kids who came for a late dinner and then stayed until after midnight. The kids managed better than I thought and it was lovely that they slept until nearly 10 am this morning – a first EVER! lol

My sweet son just picked the first prompt with closed eyes out of the jar. This week it is: Silliness!

P52: Let’s get started!

December 31st, 2010 Nathalie Posted in Project 52 2011 5 Comments »

Welcome to my Project 52! Let me explain how this is going to work:

I have a cute little jar with 52 prompts in there. At the beginning of each week I will draw one prompt out of the jar. You take this prompt as an inspiration to take your photo for the week. In my case I will try to use the prompts to take photos of/around my family. Some prompts might be not up your alley, but you might be able to alter it or it inspires you to a different one. That is great! Our goal is to have 52 fabulous photos at the end of the year. I have avoided seasonal prompts, so that everybody in the world can participate no matter where you live, what weather condition is or what holiday it is. However, if there is a special event that week, why not skip the prompt and have a photo of the birthday, celebration, special occasion instead? Or if you are up to it, do both? In the weeks where there is a holiday, for example Valentine’s Day I may offer you an alternative prompt ;)
Edit to add: Important is that you take the effort to take a new picture every week and not go through your old stash, right? ;)

Now photographers could stop here, but for the scrappers (digi as well as paper) amongst us: Create a layout with the photo of the week. That way you will have a fantastic album at the end of the year!

Among all digiscrappers who participate in my  P52 Challenge and finish all 52 layouts, I will pick 1 random album which will get printed (at the printing company of my choice) at my costs! In order to qualify for this prize you must post a link to your layout in the blog post of that week.

Any questions?

I assume you have seen my 365 Collection? A huge kit, templates, an assortment of dates and frames for $10 only – and for the first week of release you get another 30% off. This collection is perfect for our purpose and I will add to this collection along the way.

I see you tomorrow with our first prompt!

Happy New Year!
